Day-2...मुलाक़ात...
सुबह-सुबह...
रास्ते का शहर देहरादून
अनगिनत लोग
बेहिसाब वाहन
शोर-ट्रैफ़िक-गर्मी.
यहाँ से दीखता है
एक गाँव खिलौनों का
दिन में
और
रौशन तिलिस्म
रात को!
क्या समस्याओं को
दूर से देख पाना
एक तरीक़ा है
उन्हें बर्दाश्त करने का?
दिन-बाज़ार ...
शोख़ लड़कियाँ
घमंडी लड़के
आलिंगनबद्ध उन्मुक्त.
वृद्ध पुरुष
मोटी स्त्रियाँ
गर्म कपड़े,असहाय,ठिठकते.
छोटे बच्चे
ललचाई आँखें निहारें दुकानें
थके पैर बेचारे!
शाम-रात ...
रौशन बाज़ार
चमकती इमारतें
चकाचौंध दूकानें.
नीचे दूर
घाटी का शहर दून
जगमगाता
झिलमिलाता.
ऊपर खुला आसमाँ
तारे टिमटिमाएं
चाँद मुस्कुराए.
इन सबके बीच
दिल अँधेरा,उदास,वीरान बेचारा
क्या करे कहाँ जाए!

DeleteRuskin Bond is one of my favorite writers too and I was lucky enough to meet him once and spend some time with him. Cambridge book store is the perfect place to catch up with him.
DeleteIt is not just the natural beauty or laid back lifestyle that make Mussoorie beautiful but what makes this tiny hill station so special for me is that it's the abode of one of the finest writers of India :)
