शहर-1


सब दीवारें हैं यहाँ
चलती फिरती
या बस परछाइयाँ,
कोई इंसान नहीं.

ये शहर पत्थरों का है
या तिलिस्मात
छलावों का,
यहाँ भगवान नहीं.

    Its just a matter of perspective!
    Tomorrow you may suddenly find "life" and "laughter" in this very city of betrayal and disillusionment and a "true friend" amidst dark unfeeling shadows...who knows?

  21. Amitji, your lines bring to mind the song from Gaman....seene mein jalan, aankhon mein toofan sa kyon hai. Similarly, I am wondering what brought the toofan to your pen here? Cruelty and kindness; both exist everywhere and both are necessary to experience to decide which path to take, no?
