Abstract

Fiery walkways
Burning eyes
Arsenic days
Sulfuric stink
Hard-black thorns piercing body
Thick smoke stifling mind
Heavy grey stones suffocating heart
Satanic noise
Ghastly nights.

Where is the holy lake
Green banks
Dewy mornings
Blooming flowers
Leisurely days
Drizzling afternoons
Cider scent
Blissful silence
Pine winds
Sun kissed evenings
And pale moon nights?

I miss you!
Will you ever
Happen to me again?

    3. Nature is the greatest creator! It has not made two leaves, two flowers or even two stones alike! And there lies its beauty:)
One must be satisfied and thankful with what they are!
It is an undoubted fact Bikram, that you are a wonderful person and we all love you for being our darling Bikram:) Cheers ji!!!

  18. I guess today's concrete buildings inspired you to write this... my guess may be wrong though. Great read! :)

    1. 'Today' inspired me to write this, and the concrete
buildings are an inevitable part of today, hence you're right to quite an extent:)
      Thank you Indrani:)

  20. First part resembles Diwali nightmares of a few. :) Smog choking us, fires ripping apart houses. During my treks I see many perennial streams drying. Lakes like Dal lake have been turned into gutters (some may argue it is partly so) --- In many lakes at the middle we have a small temple. With all the pollution, may be God is destined to live like a lotus in the stinking waters. I hope we can change the world. That's the only thing that keeps us moving. A big hope.

  23. Amazing lines!! Loved it...The first two stanzas remind me of T.S. Eliots's poems especially the one called The Preludes The descriptions mentioned in your lines are very similar to those. :)

  24. Loved the contrast between two stanzas and offcourse the innocent longing at the end lines :-)
