It’s been words, words..and more words...
hollow, meaningless, ponderous, futile, boring,
tiring, sucking, strangulating, killing...
hundreds and thousands of them...
they are only sounds
...not even voices.
And there is a void
behind them
an energizing peace
a noble silence
a rejuvenating blankness.
It comes to my rescue
as a fresh breather
and siphons life into me
...it is YOU!

A beautiful translation in Hindi by a blogger friend Anu...you'll be knowing her soon:)
Exquisite!

ReplyDeleteAmit Sir,
ReplyDeleteIf you may allow me to share with you the way i interpret your poem, here it is -
Words, words and a web of words
Hollow and shallow
Weightless and excruciating
Enervating and exhausting
Suffocating and life threatening
Volumes and volumes
Without an essence
And somewhere within myself
Silence and peace
That's energizing
A kind of quietness
That blossoms life
Still mind
That protects me
From the din and the noise
That breathes in me life again
And in those lively moments
Your thoughts filled with love
Yes it's you 'My life' !!
Oh it's so beautifully done, Sheel:) I'm delighted!
DeleteMy comments appear on the original work at your site too...thanks a whole lot for your time and thoughtfulness:)
