आसमान पर बादल

मिलने को तरसते

इस हसरत को बस

सपना ही समझते.

बूँदें बरसतीं 

लगातार-अनवरत

कितनी सहजता से

दोनों को मिलातीं

इक सपने को

हक़ीक़त बनातीं!

मंदिरों के घंटे

अजान की आवाज़

ख़ामोश खड़े चर्च

गुरूद्वारे का प्रसाद..

कितने ख़ुशनसीब हो तुम

नैनीताल

ख़ूबसूरती के अलावा भी

कितना कुछ है

तुम्हारे पास!

not only in name

but in spirit as well.

Your grandeur reflects

not only in your age

of 150 years,

but in your ambience too.

I like that

you don’t allow

car-park and alcohol

on your premises,

it causes me

inconvenience though,

but I’m happy

you remain

unpolluted too!

Please preserve it

as long as you can

and save yourself

from the

selfish man.

People may think

you’re old fashioned

and out of date

but I love you

because

you don’t follow fashion

and ignore date!
