Lonesome...

Translation:

Lonesome...

I’m generally seen
surrounded
by a number of friends,
or  engrossed in
many amusing pastimes
by myself.

The onlookers however
can just not fathom
how lonesome,
and
forlorn I am
deep within!

  6. my tribute to beautiful poem..

  22. I always felt alone in a crowd,
Be it the ones I know or not.
    Sometimes I just think aloud,
Do I feel like this always or not.

A cherubic smile of a toddler,
    Its mother drenched in sweat,
A springing walk by a youngster,
    Clinging to his walkman set

The creases found in an old face
And the smile that lights it up,
Whenever I see them I always,
I feel that I am with the crowd.

I don't know hindi, but enjoyed reading the translation, Amit Sir. -rgs

That you don't write on your blog is okay but you don't even comment on other blogs!! which means that the comment I received here from you is an extremely rare one..for which I'm definitely obliged! Thank you for liking the poem and the beautiful rejoinder given above..I really liked it:)

  25. Hi Amit Sir,
Just to confirm, I don't even remember creating a profile here in blogspot and have been writing all my blogs in Indusladies.com. Recently I joined Indiblogger and linked my blogs from Indusladies there. Its from Indiblogger that I came to this page and read. So impressed, I wrote that comment. Will be more active in Indiblogger and Indusladies [as usual]. And will be glad if you ever get time to visit my indiblogger profile too, under the name "RGSrinivasan".

p.s. I write english and tamil verses too, but could not post them in indiblogger, as they are not exactly from my blogspace - they are also available in IndusLadies website. Sorry for a lengthier explanation and thanks for your appreciation. -rgs

kaise chup chap barasta hai musalsal pani
kitni awazen hain, log hain, baten hain magar
zehan ke peechhe kisi aur hi satah pe kahin
jaise chup chap barasta hai tasawur tera....
