Nainital(India)Nov2011

The Church
Seen outside a Church:
"All religions are welcome"
...reminds me of Hindu Temples
forbidding entry to non-Hindus
and makes me appreciate
the other approach
of not only allowing
but welcoming all-
whether or not to worship!
Yes, you may be a believer
or an atheist, or a follower
of some other faith,
You are not denied entry
where THEY believe the God lives...

  2. I remember the days of my childhood when I dared to enter a Hindu temple. I was immediately pulled out by a relative who said that I was transgressing. He took me outside the temple where it was written "Non-Hindus are not allowed"!

    1. yeah...although I was born to Hindu parents and do not follow Hinduism(or any other religion for that matter), I hate this approach of the Hindus. Thanks for agreeing...

  3. Absolutely agree with you! I am a Sikh and a Gurudwara, the Sikh temple, is always built with 4 doors on 4 sides, the idea being to welcome one and all.

  5. Those words are the ultimate truth.I wish we had that stuck on all the religious centers across the globe. I've had experience of being waiting outside places where I wanted to visit but entry restricted. I've had experiences where my friends waited outside when I went inside the temple to pray because of entry restriction. When man understands his fellow being under a different religion is not different from him in any way, why should religion bring in the divide?

  6. Yes , it goes well with we, the walking micro cosmos of universe, when in high energy we too don't deny our goodness to others. These rules are made by human not by God.
