D is for Destiny
Linked to: ABC Wednesday
Dear friends, This is a slightly tricky photo of a rustic ladder viewed and shot atop. The ladder is a means which can be used both ways..it can take you up or bring you down, hence the title 'Destiny', and due to its rather unusual angle it can be seen as a grave or a pyre in this picture, which justifies the title even more!
What do you say?
your way of taking this shot is spectacular... at first I didn't recognize it...and at second glance I thougt 'is ít what I think it is? Some kind of grave?"
ReplyDeleteSo I would chose for that word.... its our body's final destiny, isn't it.
Have a nice ABC-W-Day / – week

So, it does justify the title..no?
DeleteThank you Melody:) Have a nice week:)
There is a lot to think about in this photo.
ReplyDeleteDestiny is a perfect word to describe it.
Glad you liked the photo and the title:) Thank you:)
DeleteIndeed it does Amit
DeleteA lifetime ago.... Destiny was my nickname on the internet ...earlies 90's... when almost nobody knew the risks of the internet and those who did advised to use nicknames instead of ones own ;-)
Interesting perspective!

DeleteI love this ladder!
ReplyDeleteROG, ABCW
Glad, Roger:) Thank you:)
DeleteI agree with the caption....My first thought was the coffin....not the ladder.....death is everyone's final destiny....
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Sunaina for agreeing with the caption:)
DeleteInteresting shot.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rajesh:)
DeleteBefore I read your description, I thought it was a blocked door. I like how you caught the textures of the ladder.
ReplyDeleteI myself love that and find the textures the best part of this capture:)
DeleteThank you Susie for catching it right:)
Well suited Amit ji !!
ReplyDeleteThank you Yogendra:)
DeleteInverting the pic makes it easy to absorb. Like destiny?
ReplyDeletePhilosophical!
DeleteThank you Tom:)
you are as good with camera as with words
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words, IB:)
DeleteInteresting take. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked:) Thank you Indira:)
DeleteI think it is a door. On the top right portion there appears to be an iron hinge ? The vertical planks are held together by the horizontal planks. A door is mostly seen to open up opportunities. However, you are viewing a door as a ladder to move up. You are a dreamer par excellence my friend!
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful to you Sabya sir, for your high opinion of me and your very kind words:) but this is a ladder in fact, used to climb up to a tree house on an island:)
DeleteGreat captured
ReplyDeleteThank you Rupam:)
DeleteYou have captured it very vivaciously. The tittle is very thoughtful of the picture. Indeed a great perspective.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked, Maitreni:) Thank you:)
DeleteYes, just like Destiny, a ladder can change the route of life, northwards or southwards. Very interesting angle, Amitji... :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the whole concept:) Thank you Maniparna:)
DeleteWow! A photograph that provokes us to think. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteIf so, I request you to write a poem on it:)
DeleteThank you Purba:)
Interesting picture.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in it.:)
Me too:) Thank you Divya:)
DeleteUnique perspective...both in the shot and the thought.
ReplyDeleteThank you Vibha:) Glad you liked the concept:)
DeleteThank you Rajeev:)
ReplyDeleteThe work we do take us to destiny either upside or downside just like ladder.
ReplyDelete:) Right! Thank you:)
Deletelooks interesting...
ReplyDeleteThank you Harshita:)
DeleteWithout the write up perhaps the pic would have remained open to varied interpretations...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I couldn't agree more..
ReplyDeleteThank you Geetashree for this valued suggestion:)
I realized these are stairs when I read the description. On the first look I thought it was a door, something that too might lead us to our destiny.
ReplyDeleteRight, Manisha..that's why this is a tricky capture;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your interest:)
