Destiny

D is for Destiny
Linked to: ABC Wednesday

Dear friends, This is a slightly tricky photo of a rustic ladder viewed  and shot atop. The ladder is a means which can be used both ways..it can take you up or bring you down, hence the title 'Destiny', and due to its rather unusual angle it can be seen as a grave or a pyre in this picture, which justifies the title even more!
What do you say?

  1. your way of taking this shot is spectacular... at first I didn't recognize it...and at second glance I thougt 'is ít what I think it is? Some kind of grave?"
So I would chose for that word.... its our body's final destiny, isn't it.

    Have a nice ABC-W-Day / – week

    2. Indeed it does Amit

A lifetime ago.... Destiny was my nickname on the internet ...earlies 90's... when almost nobody knew the risks of the internet and those who did advised to use nicknames instead of ones own ;-)

  6. Before I read your description, I thought it was a blocked door. I like how you caught the textures of the ladder.

  10. I think it is a door. On the top right portion there appears to be an iron hinge ? The vertical planks are held together by the horizontal planks. A door is mostly seen to open up opportunities. However, you are viewing a door as a ladder to move up. You are a dreamer par excellence my friend!

    1. I'm grateful to you Sabya sir, for your high opinion of me and your very kind words:) but this is a ladder in fact, used to climb up to a tree house on an island:)

  11. You have captured it very vivaciously. The tittle is very thoughtful of the picture. Indeed a great perspective.

  12. Yes, just like Destiny, a ladder can change the route of life, northwards or southwards. Very interesting angle, Amitji... :-)

  16. The work we do take us to destiny either upside or downside just like ladder.

  17. Without the write up perhaps the pic would have remained open to varied interpretations...

  19. I realized these are stairs when I read the description. On the first look I thought it was a door, something that too might lead us to our destiny.
