पीपल तले
प्रेमपाश में बँधे
सोये अलस
अँधेरा चाँदनी
सवेरा हो कभी

“Tanka” is a Japanese verse style consisting of 31 syllables in 5 lines, with 5 syllables in the first and third lines and 7 in the others. (5-7-5-7-7)
